Groups in Social Thinking and Related Social Skills!

related social skills groups for grades K-12 are held on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Teens aged 13-18 can also be seen on
Wednesday evenings. Within this schedule, all groups are matched and

returned. You can find
the Registration/History Form and Schedule Worksheet on the Fees and
Enrollment page of this website. Please feel free to call (650.533.8533) and/or email (www.info@socialstrides.com) with questions or concerns.
Note:
It is NEVER to LATE to apply or set up a meet and greet! Groups are
constantly growing and new groups set up. Yes - things go more smoothly with
timely applications, but your inquires are always welcomed.

Guidelines: Forms & Meet/Greet
appointments completed between March 1 & June 10, 2011
How to enroll:
- Call or email to
check for space availability or go right to step 2
below.
- Mail in a completed
copy of the Registration
Forms and Schedule worksheet
on the enrollment & fees page of this website, along with
any current relevant reports and
communication IEP goals. It is okay to scan and attach these to email.
- Expect to be
contacted within a few days to discuss a 'Meet & Greet'
appointment* to help determine a group match/placement for your
child. The fee for this informal intake evaluation is $95 and
immediately places your child on the "grouping list" for the semester
you are interested in. Children not matched within 8 weeks of the
initial appointment remain on the grouping list for one full year.
If enrollment date guidelines are missed or you are just hearing about Strides, please do not hesitate to call or email for information on spaces remaining or to sign up for the following semester. Students are added throughout the year although your best bet at a preferred time and day for a particular semester program is to enroll during the periods outlined above.
Thank you for understanding that scheduling well-matched groups across family schedules and cities is extremely challenging. The integrity of each group is dependent on information provided about day and time availability prior to participation in group and then each student's presence for the others throughout a semester once a group has begun. Drop outs for seasonal sports or other commitments result in an unsatisfactory experience for all the participants. Families are expected to make every effort to attend all semester sessions. This is particularly true for those seen in small groups of two students! Again ~ thank you in advance for consideration of these factors.
